I must say, when I first got his message through fb, I was astonished. all his words were written with full length words-no shorthand. those full length words somehow made me embarrassed. I felt ashamed of myself for not using bahasa melayu properly. but before that, he already had apologized himself for being ‘skema’ though unintended becouse he didn’t understand bahasa sms. funny. and I do think man and woman with proper language are handsomer, it must be the influence of Pride and Prejudice by jane austen.
the bottom line is, when we are minority people whose our own language is being kinda stressed, we’ll try hard to preserve it, to protect it and respect more the language than those people have more chances to live with it every day.
