i'm a perfect melancholy

I went to a one day motivational and career talk last weekend. it was indeed an interesting yet very informative lecture I have ever attended in my life so far, a discovery of what my personality type is - a P e r f e c t M e l a n c h o l y.

our brain sometimes translate only what we want to see. in order to see who we really are in the eyes of people, we have to get others feedback about ourselves. and in the course, i had to ask people around me on how they viewed me.

the first commenter was my roomate, azie to fill in. she described me as a knowledgeable person, matured and a positive thinker.

after that it was dayah, a girl i just met that day. she described me as a person who fonds to talk and a beauty with brain. oh yeah? if this is true, why didnt he..oh just forget it, utterly unrelated story.

then, came the RK, the motivator herself. and from her professional perspective of being a HR for decades and had inspecting thousands of people for interviews she simply wrote down I’m a perfectionist, thinker and reserve. before that, she had already told me that I looked serious. I know I have frowning habit. sigh. have get to rid of it. and I’m sure my rectangular specs is doing contribution to my ‘seriousness’ look. haha. that’s the main reason why I finally decided to buy contact lenses(which I haven’t any for nearly six months) during outing with my girls last Sunday.

the other feedback was from Mr.Ir I-don’t-know-his-name, another facilitator which became a photographer for the whole event. all he did was just proofreading the others feedback and wrote down what he agreed with. haha funny man.

anyway, our personality can be classified into melancholic, sanguine, phlegmatic and choleric-I’m writing these traits from my own preference, more to less.

sanguine is bubbly and popular, phlegmatic is a peaceful person and more like dead wood, while choleric is very demanding, its either you do it my way or there is no way.

the understanding of personality type is important. let’s say you want to do a program in university, you’ll need sanguine people to start something off eg to promote the program, doing publicity. then, to make sure the program goes well, melancholic will serve better to be appointed as treasurer as the nature of this personality to do things perfectly, carefully, analytical, deep and thoughtful.

each of us is a unique as individual and our personality should be considered when we decide our career path.

have a more understanding on perfect melancholy, sanguine, phlegmatic and choleric people here.

p/s: from all the sites i went by, this site provides more information but its a catholic site. so be wise to skip the unnecessary things.

wsalam

aku rasa aku chloric kot....
sebab chloric bunyi cam sedap.

jangan sebab kau budak gas maka kau nak jadi chloric pula.

pada pendapat ak, semua orang punya keempat-empat traits tapi percentage tiap2 traits itu beza. setiap orang pasti ada satu traits yang lebih dominan-sudah macam biologi bab kromosom pula. ambil bio tak dulu? haha

contohnya, dia mungkin saja phlegmatic-jenis tak kisah..apa2 je, whatever, ikut suka korang la tapi pada certain things seperti agama misalnya, mungkin menjadi seorang chloric bila dia pertahankan habis-habisan prinsip agama dia. chloric ni macam its either my way or no way.

wah..susahlah kalau kau domian chloric.boleh terseksa jiwa raga kalau kalau tak sependapat dengan kau. tak boleh dibawa berbincang..haha

Redline,
I would not part with a single cent to attend the so-called pakar motivasi talk, seminar or camp, whatever they call it to wriggle money out of my pocket.
All my life I have not atended one and I would be no wiser attending one. I can give you one, but not for money!

pakcik,

at first i was reluctant to go but after all my roomates persuaded me, i have to go. it only costed me 10 ringgit. its cheap since university had support d overall cost, i guesss so.

pakcik,

of course you will not have to attend one, you are a wise man. today i read a review on a book called Siddhartha. I came across a line saying,

"Dia sedar ilmu boleh diajarkan tetapi bukan kebijaksanaan. Kebijaksanaan hanya dapat dicapai melalui pengalaman hidup"

as a young lady i may say, whom is having not any wise.. i would do anything i can to be wise enough, to equip me with knowledge and experience, and the main thing is one day i would not be fooled by others. hence, spending money on this event was not a big deal for me.

i really glad when you wrote you will give me one, but not for money. i'm proud to have you, a kindhearted old man as my blogosphere friend.

and, i was about to comment on your 'Will this be a better year?' post but since you are here, i'm going to write it here.

your entry has enlighten me the important to keep a diary. it was thrilling when you shared about what was you wrote back 55 years ago. d same feeling, when i read on your merdeka post. it always an exciting to know what was happening more than 50 years ago at the same day. i guess i should start to keep a diary from now on, it would be an amazing manuscript not for now, but for years ahead,if i still alive. i'm quite sure d feeling of touching an old diary of our ancestor would be different than juz reading his/her blog.

p/s:please forgive my bad english. i would love if you do comment on my english, i know i have bad english grammar =)
